| From Landmark Forum to your local success seminars. Do you do them and what are your thoughts about the entire industry? |
I have done a few different personal development workshops from different companies. Each of them had similar goals with similar methods of teaching but used involved different concepts.
I've been to very logical scientific based seminars where the material was presented in as a series of very tight arguments about how humans work, were we come from, and why we do things. Ive been to others that just focused on physical interaction and demonstartion to bring about a realisation of the same arguments.
Some cost money, like Landmark Forum, others are free with a donation requested to a charitiy.
Now, I can say that I have always got something out of Landmark Forum and others but I wanted to criticaly ask myself, do I need this?
So, do I?
I think so. I do worry about how much emphasis there is on becoming a "member" of the group. The information they present has got to be useful. If you can improve you life then you are better off. Why would you need to become an affiliate to achieve your goals is beyond me.
Dude! Landmark Forum is a flat out cult ->

Avoid them, otherwise, I reckon personal development seminars are just group psychology and you wont find me getting worked over when nothing is wrong.
after all, how many people have you heard say - I was mentally broken so I went to my psychologist and now i'm all fixed!
