| Hotmail started off with bad spam filtering in the old days. They then tightened it up and it was wonderful. Now it looks like we are going back to the dark ages of spam. |
I opened up a hotmail inbox I rarely use to find 5 emails in my inbox and 7 in my "Bulk Mail" folder. Strange as it can be, the mail in the inbox was all junk mail... spam. 5 out of the 7 emails in the bulk folder were legitimate emails from addresses I had been receiving mail from for years.
What on earth is so broken that the spam gets through and my real mail gets put in the bulk folder.
Is this just me or does anybody else see this with their hotmail account?
What is even worse, I just noticed that a newsletter that I subscribe to has been sending to my hotmail address and is in none of the folders at all!
Hotmail, what on earth ore you doing?!
I feel your pain.
I dropped my hotmail accounts some time ago, 'round about the time gmail opened I think
I have a friend that had one of the first Hotmail accounts, I mean, before hotmail was sold to microsoft. His email address is a very simple one, so simple that its almost impossible to use the account given the number of spam mails.
It can be a pain to switch, but is that pain the only thing keeping you with hotmail?
Hotmail, arr it be a strange beast.
I have too noticed good mail in the spam folder and junk in the inbox. Not as bad as you say tho.
Not like i would use hotmail for anything other than junkmail anyway.
You think you have problems.
